OVERVIEW - PIPE FREEZING
Pipe freezing is a process by which a flow medium in a pipeline is frozen in order to undertake modification on the pipeline. Mecstra’s pipe freezing is an in-situ, non intrusive and controlled method of isolating a pipeline with liquid nitrogen for alteration on the pipeline. The heat from within the pipeline is drawn out until it reaches a temperature below freezing point and the medium inside is frozen to form as an ice plug. Once formed, the plug is able to withstand very high differential pressures and provide reliable and effective isolation of the line while modifications or repairs are carried out. We have the capability to freeze lines from 1/2 inch onwards. Mecstra provides pipe freezing services in the UAE and the MENA region. Mecstra’s in-house pipe freezing jackets are custom made to suit your needs effectively.

OVERVIEW - HYDRO-TESTING
Hydro testing is a method of testing to check the strength of a pipeline or system. Mecstra’s high pressure testing capabilities help to test if your system withholds the required pressure or if they do have any leakage. All the tests conducted by Mecstra will be certified and the training and experience that the team possess will reduce the time required. Hydro test of the piping system is conducted at 135 percent above the nominal pressure or as requested by the client. A pressure test is required for a new pressure system before use or an existing system after repair.
